Business Cards

It's business, it's business tiiiiiiiime....
Business hours are over, baby...

Ahem.

Hello.  Our business cards! That was the point I was attempting to make.

This is what they look like. You like? Yes indeed you do! Hopefully. I wanted to buy some nice card and use the typewriter, and hand draw the pictures on each one, but let's face it - that would have taken quite a long time. Instead I printed them onto business card card from W H Smith's.

Other business card card sellers are also available, or something like that.

'Business card card' looks wrong written down. I'm sure you know what I mean.

Anyway, as a lot of this batch of cards are going to the We Make London goody bags for their press event this Friday, I might try typewriter written cards for the new batch.

Here's what I've been working on all weekend for the goody bags...

Hard work!

How to make your own brand stamp

I am surprised how easy this it to make!

Massive eraser + pocket knife (careful now!) = brand stamp

Take a massive eraser (this one was 80p) and trace the reverse of your design on it like so so so...

Then carve around your logo - which looks tricky but was surprisingly simple...

Voila!
Amaze!

Our first craft fair

We done'd a craft fair!

HIGH FIVE!
We had rings and bracelets...

We tried to send subliminal messages through scrabble rings...

We sold some things, which was nice and we had some great comments about many items, which is amazing! It is nice to know that you haven't wasted years making things that other people think are rubbish! After having kept most of these items locked away in my flat without anyone else having looked at them, I was a little worried...

Sarah showed off her lovely crocheted owl and penguin toys and keyrings. They are amazing! I particularly love Mr Stringy-Strawberry. He was winking at passers-by throughout the day, but didn't manage to catch anyone's eye. YET...

So...that was our day! Exciting. Scary. Cold. Looking forward to the next one; Friday 21st June. Woop woop!

We Make London - Camden Market

Oh Hi.
How nice of you to stop by.
I am E X C I T E D !
So excited in fact, that I have used both uppercase letters and spaces in that word there. Yep. THAT excited.
I am going to be holding a stall at Camden Market as part of We Make London's special handmade market...!

Yeah!
Good news.
Although I am slightly terrified.
I will be there on:

Friday 17th May
Friday 21st June
Friday 19th July

Get down there! Come say hello! Also, feel free to bring me a cup of tea or any other treats. Bread is nice. Particularly with jam on. Mmm. I'm being totally serious right now. I need stuff.

Still, this means that lots of preparations are underway. Lots of things that I have been talking about doing for years, I am actually going to have to get on with doing. SCARY! This is good though. I am the ultimate procrastinator, so knowing that I only have limited time now will hopefully push me to get things done, instead of just watching Regular Show.
(Although most of the time I find it best to get stuff done whilst watching Regular Show. It just helps, ok?!)

So here are some of the bracelets I have been working on...

I always seem to get to the point where I hate them and don't want to look at them anymore. I have started working on the small gold flowers (seen in the image on the left above) - I am putting buttons onto these and turning them into a necklace (hopefully!). I will post photos once I have managed to do this...IF I manage to do this.

I also need to delve into my big box of half-arsed craft (as I like to call it) - this is full of ideas and things that I half-made before giving up/getting bored/getting over-excited about something else. Although I will probably give up or get bored or get over-excited about something else whilst trying to sort it out, and end up achieving nothing. Clever!

The other Crosko is FINALLY getting to work on her wire figures. These are amazing pieces of art, and she should always be making them for the world to see! Part of me thinks that these are too good to be selling at a market, however I'm hoping that the positive feedback she will inevitably receive will prompt her to make many more for us to sell through Etsy. Photos to follow soon. Exciting!!!!

That is all for now...much work to be done!

Mothers Day Knitted flower bunches/bouquets

Oh hey peoples.
I trust that today has been a wonderful experience for you all. The beginning, then the middle, and the end is still to come. How exciting. Why not fill that portion of your day with realising that it is Mothers Day on Sunday and remembering that you MUST get her some flowers, because even though she says she doesn't mind if you don't send her anything...SHE BLOOPIN DOES!!

Well look no further than my Etsy shop (of course!), where you can find some lovely knitted flowers for mumsy to cherish forever. Plus if she ever gets bored of them, you can just take them away and save them for next year! I am a money saving wizard.

You are most welcome.

I have a headache. You don't need to know that.

My Etsy Shop...FINALLY

Happy New Year!!

It is February and therefore far too late to be saying that. This font looks too big.

Anywho, I have finally set up the Croskology Etsy shop! "Woohoo", I hear you shouting, whilst pumping your fist into the air. Now you can finally buy your mother a bouquet of flowers that don't  die by the time you arrive home to give them to her. Or buy your woman friend a bunch that don't look like you picked them up from the petrol station on the way home, when you suddenly realised that the reason she was in a mood with you earlier this morning was because today is your anniversary and you'd forgotten. Or some other such situation. Television tells me these are real life situations. I'm not so sure.

"WHAT IS THE ADDRESS, LADY?!?!?!?!", I hear you bellow...although I didn't hear all those exclamation and question marks - I improvised with those. I'm sure they are accurate though. Well, anyway, here it is:

Go! Look! Buy!

There isn't much on there at the moment, but fret not, as it will soon be full of wondrous goods that you will be yearning for. Well maybe not, but those flowers are pretty enough, aint they?

Where have I been?

Seriously, where HAVE I been?
Mainly here. Hello.
I think it has been several months. Let's see...what have we been doing?

Well...

Sarah Crosk got married! This means she is now officially an adult and has to do adult things like cooking proper food and...I dunno...what do adults even do? Ooh - she can't watch cartoons any more. Ha! Shame.
Poor thing.

I made an Adventure Time hat! If anybody in the world would like to see it, I will take a photo and post it soon. Not that anyone really cares that much. Google 'Finn Adventure Time'. You see that hat? Yeah, I made that. There you go. You've pretty much seen it now. Congrats.

Anyway, I got distracted...

Yes, Sarah got married to a boy. Bleurgh!

It was scary.
I made a fascinator and it looked something like this...

Well...exactly like that actually. Considering that is a photo of it. Yep.

I also made tiny flowers for the tables...

...so many that I never want to look at them ever again! But they are cute, so that's nice. If anyone wants any handmade wedding decor, then please get in touch! Sarah made bunting and it was awesome. And many other things but I do not want to post all her photos on here in case she does not appreciate it.

It is coming up to the new year now. This means we have to come up with resolutions and be positive about the year to come. I am working on a list. If I do not complete my list by the end of the year I will cut my fingers off. Probably not that, but I will be disappointed. It is important for me to write a list anyway as evidence, and then this time next year I can look back at the list and think 'yayy I did all those things, I am super awesome', or 'oh poop I better get on with that for the next couple of days so I don't have to cut my fingers off'. I do need them for knitting after all.

Anyway this is enough ramblings for one evening. And I have a headache.

Ooh I also made a scarf! See, I have been busy!! Maybe a tiny bit anyway...

Laters loves.
